Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek Hosts “The Dubai Big Cheese Experience”, Including a Guinness World Records™ Attempt

This January, Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek transforms into the epicentre of one of the city’s most ambitious culinary spectacles with The Dubai Big Cheese Experience, a multi-day celebration dedicated to the world’s most beloved delicacy. Bringing together scale, craftsmanship and international flair, the event will culminate in an official Guinness World Records™ attempt for the Largest Showcase of Cheese Varieties ever assembled

 

Scheduled for 28 January 2026, the Guinness World Records™ official attempt will take place at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, coinciding with Gulfood and marking a significant moment for the global cheese industry. Hosted at Dubai’s first five-star hotel, now celebrating its 50th anniversary, the showcase will welcome culinary professionals, members of international culinary guilds and acclaimed chefs, including Michelin-starred figures. More than two tonnes of cheese will be presented in an ambitious display aiming to surpass the existing world record of 1,001 varieties, with representation from all major cheese-producing regions, including France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States and the GCC.

The official attempt is staged as part of Date-a-Cheese, the international food festival created and organised by Argos Start LLC, which celebrates the pairing of world cheeses with palm dates, a powerful symbol of the UAE’s cultural heritage. Organised in collaboration with the Emirates Culinary Guild, the official association of professional chefs in the UAE, and Elie Makhlouf, international cheese expert, with the support of Greenhouse Foodstuff LLC, the attempt forms part of a wider programme that also includes The Art of Serving Cheese Awards, a groundbreaking competition recognising innovation, creativity and diversity across hotels, restaurants and catering. Featuring iconic styles such as Comté, Camembert, Gruyère, Cheddar, Feta and Halloumi, the installation will stand as a tribute to the craftsmanship, heritage and global reach of cheese.

Following the record attempt, The Dubai Big Cheese Experience opens its doors to the public on 30th and 31st January, running nightly from 6 PM to 11 PM. Initiated and hosted by Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek, the event invites cheese lovers to immerse themselves in a festive, late-night atmosphere where abundance and discovery take centre stage. Day passes are priced at AED 99, while a two-day pass is available for AED 189, offering exceptional access to one of Dubai’s most distinctive food experiences.
